How to cancel Paramount+
Published
Paramount+ is a textbook example of the modern cancellation problem: the same service can be billed by Paramount, by Apple, or by Amazon as a Prime Video Channel, and each biller has its own cancel button. People fail to cancel not because it’s hard but because they’re pressing the button in the wrong shop.
Find your biller in ten seconds
Check the charge on your card or your email receipts. Paramount’s own name means direct. Apple means you subscribed in-app on an iPhone, iPad or Apple TV. Amazon means it’s a Prime Video Channel.
Direct subscription
- Sign in on the Paramount+ website.
- Open your account settings and find the subscription section.
- Choose cancel and confirm; streaming runs to the end of the paid period.
Through Apple
Settings, your name, Subscriptions, tap Paramount+, cancel. Details and caveats in the iPhone cancellation guide.
As an Amazon Prime Video Channel
Channel subscriptions live in your Amazon account, under memberships and subscriptions, not on Paramount’s site. Cancel the channel there. This is the one people miss for months, because the charge hides inside Amazon’s billing; the Amazon Prime guide covers the channels trap in general.
Worth knowing
Subscribing to the same streamer through two billers by accident is common; if two different companies charge you amounts that look like Paramount+, one is a duplicate. A single tracked list of every subscription, whoever bills it, is how duplicates get caught before they cost a year of double payments.
